Farrell born December 21, was a prolific songwriter, having penned more than songs, including "Hang on Sloopy" and "Come a Little Bit Closer", and was a producer of some note, producing the Partridge Family and Lulu, among others.
He started Chelsea Records in and ran the label until its demise in Farrell Disco Tex & His Sex-O-Lettes - Were Havin A Party (Its Gonna Be Alright) / Strollin of cancer on February 29, at the age of Chelsea used the same label design throughout its life, although there were two different color schemes.
The label design showed the logo at the top, resting on a series of clouds. The logo lettering was blue with a green sash. After leaving the RCA distribution, the Chelsea label changed to a Send Me To The Electric Chair - Sandra De Sá - Sandra! green label with some blue, and again a yellow sky.
